The Intercommunal Hospital Center of the Ariège Valleys (CHIVA) welcomed its new interns on Monday, November 2, a move aimed at encouraging their long-term settlement in the department. This initiative is crucial in a national context of medical demographic tensions, where discovering professional practice in Ariège can be a first step towards a lasting installation.
A welcome evening is also scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, at the University Center of Ariège. Jointly organized by the Departmental Council of Ariège, the University Department of General Medicine of Toulouse, and the Ariège Attractiveness Agency, it will allow local elected officials, health professionals, and institutional partners to present the department's advantages to future doctors.
CHIVA emphasizes the importance of welcoming, support, and quality of professional life as essential levers for encouraging young practitioners to settle. The institution aims to introduce interns to the human, medical, and territorial richness of Ariège.
