From September 14 to 18, the Centre Hospitalier Ariège-Couserans (CHAC) mobilized for the National Patient Safety Week. This event, organized annually by the Ministry of Health and in resonance with the WHO's World Patient Safety Day, focused this year on "Care Safety for People with Chronic Conditions."
This initiative aimed to raise awareness among patients, users, and professionals about the importance of quality and safety in care. Throughout the week, professionals, user representatives, and nursing students engaged with patients and teams in information and awareness sessions on various topics such as hand hygiene, clinical pharmacy, treatment adherence, dietetics, chronic diseases, and the use of Mon espace santé (My Health Space).
These meetings highlighted the importance of a shared culture of care safety, based on prevention, information, listening, and dialogue with users. The CHAC expressed its gratitude to all those who contributed to the week, particularly the IFSI students, the Quality team, the Pharmacy team, the members of the Users' Commission (CDU), and Ms. Sadika ABDI from CPAM for her contributions on chronic diseases and My Health Space.
The institution emphasizes that at CHAC, as everywhere in France, patient safety is everyone's responsibility.
