Céline Guédon, trained in felt making and sewing, has opened La Mécanique des Laines, a space dedicated to transforming wool and promoting local craftsmanship. Passionate about this noble material, she creates her own felt and offers a range of unique products such as rugs, blankets, home goods, and even wool espadrilles.
Her goal is to restore the prestige of the wool industry by highlighting her expertise and that of nine other artisans. This initiative provides a wonderful opportunity to rediscover wool in all its forms.
To share her passion, Céline offers original workshops, such as 'Felt Your Soap'. This activity invites participants to create felt cases for soap, combining utility and softness for natural exfoliation, in a fun and accessible way to get started with felting.
La Mécanique des Laines is located at 28 place Maréchal Leclerc, Couvert St Antoine, 09500 MIREPOIX. The boutique is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Monday from 10 am to 2 pm. It is closed on Tuesdays.
