This operation is part of COVALDEM11's overall mission for waste collection and treatment, with the goal of implementing concrete reduction actions. The call for applications is open to any adult individual residing within the Covaldem11 territory who does not already own hens.
To participate, applicants must commit to having a space of at least 10 square meters to house two hens and their coop, which must be set up before the animals arrive. Measures must also be taken to prevent contact between domestic poultry and wild birds, including the use of separation nets.
Each household may submit only one application. Participation implies full acceptance of the operation's regulations, available online. Interested individuals are invited to send an email to accueil@covaldem11.fr to submit their application.
The hens will be made available on Saturday, November 7th, from 3 PM to 5 PM, in Cuxac Cabardès, at the Espace François Mitterrand. Adopters must present themselves at the indicated time and location, bringing a box, the signed charter if possible, and cash payment of one euro per hen.
