On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the town hall of Leucate hosted the Plenary Assembly of the Youth Municipal Council (CMJ). The event marked the arrival of 7 new councilors who are joining this civic initiative. These young elected officials received their tricolor sashes, symbolizing their commitment to their municipality.
The new councilors are: Lina Belkini, Louis Roussel, Andi Serre, Amaury Vignes Laczny, Louis Lamy. Also joining but absent from the photo were: William Vannier and Nakil Vronsky.
During the meeting, Véronique Vignes Laczny, the councilor in charge of the CMJ, reviewed the actions undertaken since its creation and presented the missions and projects awaiting the young councilors in the coming weeks.
Several officials were present, including Monique Ching, Deputy for Social Cohesion and Solidarity, Carola Albert Vidal, Director of Human Resources & Population Services, Stéphanie Fay, Head of the CCAS, and Emilien Flagel, CMJ animator.
