In the face of natural risks and exceptional situations, local solidarity plays a crucial role. The Town of Beauvoisin is calling for volunteers to establish its communal civil security reserve. This initiative will enable the mobilization of volunteer residents to augment the town's operational resources and contribute to the protection and support of the population, particularly during floods, runoff events, fire risks, or heatwaves.
Volunteer missions may include assisting vulnerable individuals in coordination with the CCAS (Social Action Center), relaying information and alerts to the public as instructed by the town, monitoring sensitive areas for runoff or fire risks and reporting to municipal services, providing logistical support to municipal teams during events requiring special organization, welcoming and directing residents at reception centers during evacuations or major incidents, and participating in simple material operations such as installing barriers or setting up marking devices, according to received instructions. Volunteers will operate within a framework defined by the town and complement the efforts of emergency services and municipal teams.
The reserve is open to adult residents of Beauvoisin or Franquevaux who are motivated by mutual aid and solidarity. No specific skills are required, as the town will provide training to volunteers based on the planned missions.
To apply, interested individuals can complete the online registration form available on the town's website.
