Around thirty residents of Beauvoisin participated on Saturday, September 26, in a consultation workshop on the future of the Gour, an intermittent watercourse, to enrich the site's diagnosis.

Organized by the City of Beauvoisin and the EPTB Vistre Vistrenque, this first workshop aimed to gather residents' memories, observations, and uses concerning the Gour and its surroundings. Divided into three tables, participants annotated maps to share their knowledge of the territory, recall past and present uses, and point out areas of concern.
These exchanges brought to light a living memory of the site. Some recall that over a century ago, farmers could descend into the Gour with their carts and horses. Others remembered its utility as a pathway between the Fontaine square and the kindergarten, despite a difficult bank ascent near the school.
Areas where water stagnates after rain and illegal waste deposits that could hinder its flow were also highlighted. The floods of 2002 and 2005 were mentioned, with residents from the recycling center road sector recounting how their homes were temporarily isolated.
These observations, marked on the maps, will complement technical analyses on the site's uses, perceptions, and functioning. The City and the EPTB Vistre Vistrenque are working on the ecological revitalization of the Gour and its place in the local landscape. The process includes a diagnosis, defining orientations and development principles, leading to a master plan.
A second workshop is planned for November to present the diagnosis and discuss initial development orientations. The City of Beauvoisin and the EPTB Vistre Vistrenque thank all participants for their presence and the richness of their testimonies.
