The Youth Municipal Council of Caissargues, whose creation was authorized by a Municipal Council deliberation on October 12, 2020, is aimed at children attending CM1 and CM2 classes. The objective is to educate them about democratic and civic life.
Comprising 12 young elected members for a 2-year term, the CMJ will represent the commune's youth and offer them a platform to dialogue directly with local elected officials. To ensure gender parity, 2 girls and 2 boys will be elected from each school, meaning one of each per grade level (CM1 and CM2).
The elected youths will be tasked with actively participating in the life of the commune, taking part in youth events, sharing their ideas, developing projects, organizing their implementation, and understanding how a local authority functions.
The municipality is issuing a call for applications for children interested in this project. Parental authorization is required for all candidates.
The schedule includes a deadline for submitting application forms on Wednesday, November 4. A meeting for candidates will be held the same day at 5:30 PM at the town hall. The election campaign will run from November 5 to 25, followed by the election on Thursday, November 26. The investiture ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 28 at the town hall.
Application forms can be collected at the reception of the Caissargues Town Hall or downloaded from the commune's official website.
