The municipal council of Fourques approved this Wednesday, October 14, the creation of the Fourques Youth Municipal Council (CMJF), an initiative to involve young people in the life of their commune.

This new step will allow young people to participate in the life of their village, make their voices heard, and propose projects that are important to them.
Participation is open to young residents of Fourques attending CM1, CM2, 6th, or 5th grade, with three representatives per school grade, regardless of their educational institution.
Their mission will be to imagine and propose projects for Fourques, commit to their village and its inhabitants, share their opinions, exchange ideas, and learn to make decisions together, thereby gaining practical experience in citizenship and municipal life.
Up to 12 young councillors can embark on this civic adventure for a mandate of two school years.
The call for candidacies is open until November 6. Young Fourquesiens are encouraged to think about their ideas for the village and submit their applications at the town hall or by email.
