Given the aging infrastructure, a major project to renew the hydraulic networks will begin on Monday, September 28, 2026, on Quai Colbert in the town of Le Grau-du-Roi. The works, scheduled to finish on December 18, 2026, will involve replacing 150 meters of wastewater network and 330 meters of drinking water pipelines, including 20 connections for each network. The rainwater drains will also be refurbished.
To ensure safety and the smooth progress of the construction site, a section of Quai Colbert, from Allée Simone Veil to the swing bridge, will be closed to traffic. Diversions will be put in place for users. The swing bridge will only be accessible from the right bank to the left bank during the works. It will also be completely closed to traffic in both directions at night, between 9 PM and 6 AM, from September 28 to October 9, 2026. Temporary collection points for household waste and recycling will also be established.
These works will also affect the urban shuttle service. The 'Quai du 19 mars' stop will not be served and will be replaced by the 'Cimetière' stop. The 'Aigues-Marines' stop will be suspended for the entire duration of the works. The City of Le Grau du Roi thanks users for their understanding and vigilance.
