The city of Nîmes is deploying new bin shelters in the Nord Gambetta district, as well as on Louis Raoul and Paulet streets, aiming to enhance urban cleanliness and the management of household waste and recyclable packaging.

This system, intended for residents in the affected areas, allows for the disposal of household waste and packaging at any time, thereby helping to limit bags abandoned in public spaces. The bin shelters, accessible 24/7, are of two types: grey for household waste and yellow for recyclable packaging. Households are encouraged to exclusively use the grey shelters for their domestic waste. Complementing the usual collection, the yellow shelters offer greater flexibility for sorting packaging.
This initiative aims to preserve the quality of public spaces, improve urban hygiene, and reduce illegal dumping on sidewalks. Practical information regarding the location of the bin shelters, their usage guidelines, the areas concerned, and the rules to follow is available in the attached press release.
