The Department of Gers, through its #Dites32 mission, is welcoming 13 junior general practitioners starting in November, with the goal of improving healthcare access and encouraging their long-term settlement in the area.

The President of the Department expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of these 13 junior general practitioners in the Gers starting in November, calling it "good news for our territory and for access to care."
Thanks to the #Dites32 mission, the Department is committed to supporting these young professionals, in collaboration with referring physicians and supervising doctors. More than half of the new arrivals have received assistance with their housing search, and 80% have already completed part of their internship in the department, with continued support from #Dites32.
"Throughout the year, our teams will accompany them to help them discover Gers, its healthcare professionals, its practice opportunities, and its quality of life. Our objective is clear: to make them want to settle here permanently," stated Philippe Dupouy, President of the Department.
This initiative is part of the work carried out by #Dites32 for the past 10 years, which has already helped over 60 doctors establish themselves in Gers, including two pediatricians. Attracting doctors requires time, proximity, and concrete support, a commitment the Department is determined to continue to ensure future installations.
