Dr. Alizée Noirot's arrival is part of her final year of internship. She will practice in Mirande for one year, from November 2026 to October 2027, under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Maynau, who will serve as her university internship supervisor (MSU).
This placement is the result of efforts by the doctors at the Health Center, many of whom are already involved in training future practitioners. The Town Hall, owner of the premises, facilitated this by creating an additional medical office, merging the waiting rooms of Drs. Monlor and Maynau.
The Mayor is pleased with this arrival, seeing it as a step forward for healthcare in Mirande. In the long term, a full-time junior doctor could lead to an additional 60 to 80 consultations per week, helping to meet the population's needs.
Beyond this medical reinforcement, this experience also offers Dr. Alizée Noirot a chance to discover the Gers region, its practice conditions, and quality of life, with the hope she might consider a long-term practice there.
