The Local School Support Contract (CLAS) offers valuable support to elementary and middle school students, helping them acquire effective work methods and understand the importance of their schoolwork. More than just homework help, this program fosters small group interactions (maximum 8 children), promoting self-esteem, confidence, and cultural awareness through fun and enriching activities.
The town hall is actively looking for volunteers willing to get involved with student groups. It's an opportunity to make a significant difference in young people's lives and participate in a rewarding human adventure by sharing skills for their personal and academic growth.
The proposed activities take place at different times during the week, primarily at the pôle Jeunesse and the école Piquepeyre. On Mondays, volunteers can assist with methodology (cycle 2) from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM or with creating a treasure hunt for middle schoolers from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. On Tuesdays, a miniature game creation activity is offered (cycle 2) from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the école Piquepeyre. On Wednesdays, methodology sessions are scheduled for cycle 2 (10:30 AM - 12:00 PM at the école Piquepeyre) and for middle schoolers (2:00 PM - 3:30 PM at the pôle Jeunesse). On Thursdays, activities for creating miniature games and treasure hunts are available for cycle 2 (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM and 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM at the pôle Jeunesse). Finally, on Fridays, a methodology session for cycle 3 takes place from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the pôle Jeunesse.
Joining the CLAS team offers great flexibility, not requiring presence at every session thanks to organized rotations among volunteers.
