The Heritage Day drew a curious crowd in Fonsorbes on Sunday, September 20th. The morning was dedicated to exploring the municipal archives and old documentary collections, including items from the 17th century, as well as the work carried out by L’Atelier du Patrimoine (Heritage Workshop).
In the afternoon, the Cinémuz’ space hosted the screening of projects by students from Cantelauze college and Clémence Royer high school on the big screen. These works focused on World War II, highlighting local figures from Fonsorbes and the maquis of Saint-Lys.
This commemoration sparked numerous discussions and led to rich exchanges about this period of local history. The day concluded with a screening of the film RRR, an initiative by the association Cinétoile.
A special thank you was extended to the students and their teachers for their involvement, to the members of L’Atelier du Patrimoine for their testimonies, to the management teams of the college and high school, and to the association Cinétoile for their contributions.
