Several aid programs are currently open to farmers in Haute-Garonne. These schemes aim to compensate for losses related to climate events, such as drought, storms, and floods, as well as to support the purchase of GNR (agricultural diesel) and nitrogen fertilizers. The deadlines for submitting applications vary depending on the aid.
For crop losses due to the drought from June to August 2026, recognized across all municipalities, affected productions include field crops, vegetables, arboriculture, viticulture, honey, and hops. Applications must be submitted via the AléaNat online procedure by December 31, 2026.
Damage caused by storms and hail in April and May 2026 in 527 municipalities is also compensated under the ISN (National Solidarity Compensation) for uninsured market garden and winter field crops. The application deadline is November 10, 2026.
Rain and floods in January and February 2026 resulted in recognized land losses across the department. Damage to soils, structures, losses of fodder stocks, and damage to vines are eligible. Applications should be sent to the DDT of Haute-Garonne by December 31, 2026.
The GNR aid is extended until December 31, 2026, offering a subsidy of 15 cents per liter for agricultural and forestry work. Reimbursement requests are processed through the DémaTIC space on the Chorus Pro portal.
An aid for the purchase of nitrogen fertilizers is available until December 31, 2026, subject to available funding. The amount is €50/tonne of eligible fertilizer, or €70/tonne for the most exposed farms. Purchases made from June 1, 2026, are covered. Applications can be submitted via the FranceAgriMer website.
Finally, farmers who suffered crop losses exceeding those covered by the collective tax relief can request additional relief by justifying their losses to the DRFIP.
