The Chamber of Agriculture of Haute-Garonne is currently relaying a questionnaire from INRAE concerning the I-ReWater project, a study on the reuse of treated wastewater for agricultural irrigation in the Occitanie region and other SUDOE countries.

As part of the inter-regional project I-ReWater (2024-2026), INRAE is conducting a study on adherence to the implementation methods of a treated wastewater reuse (REUT) project for irrigation. The main objective is to assess whether REUT can improve water resource management, considering environmental, economic, and societal aspects. This initiative involves France (Occitanie, Nouvelle Aquitaine, former Auvergne), Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.
For this study, INRAE has developed a questionnaire with an estimated response time of 15 to 20 minutes. The Chamber of Agriculture invites all farmers, whether irrigators or not, to express their views. INRAE plans to present the results in early 2027.
