The town of Péchabou is organizing its 31st Fat Market and Craft Fair on Saturday, November 21st, from 8 am to 3 pm, around the municipal hall, offering local products, crafts, and entertainment.

Around forty exhibitors will present the best of local produce, including specialties like foie gras, charcuterie, cheeses, aligot, vegan products, wines, olive oils, Tarbais beans, honey, and chestnuts. Crafts will also be showcased with jewelry, cosmetics, cutlery, and porcelain. A 'bouilleur de cru' (artisan authorized to distill their own brandies) will share their ancestral know-how.
The day will be enlivened by the musical duo Soulastic. A second edition of the international animal cry contest, open to everyone, will take place with registration in the morning and prize-giving in the afternoon. Participants can imitate any animal, with auditory resemblance being the sole criterion.
Children can enjoy an educational farm with goat milking demonstrations and lamb bottle-feeding, as well as games organized by the Parents' Association.
Local associations will actively participate. The twinning committee with Spain will offer olive oil and tangerines, the Italian committee its specialties, and the Club Loisir its duck magret sandwiches. Art Palette will exhibit works by its members, with a public vote. Toulouse-based watercolorist Jean-Claude Coustilères will give a demonstration and lead a workshop on Sunday.
The Bar du Bout de la Colline will be open from 10 am to 3 pm with games (foosball, Mölkky, pétanque) and hot drinks and cakes offered by the Parents' Association, which will also organize a weight-guessing game to win a ham.
A meal will be served at the school restaurant starting at noon, featuring Lauragais salad and duck confit cassoulet (adults: €13.50, children: €10). Meal reservations must be submitted at the town hall before November 16th.
