Le Muretain Agglo is launching the extension works for the Express Bicycle Network n°4 (REV4) on the RD4 in Pins-Justaret this Monday, October 12, 2026. This project, aimed at improving cycling routes to Toulouse, is being carried out by the company COLAS under the project management of EGIS. The municipality of Labarthe-sur-Lèze will host the construction site's support base.
The first phase of the construction, lasting approximately 5 months, will cover 600 meters of the RD4. It includes the creation of rainwater drainage systems, retaining structures, and the refurbishment of sidewalks.
Traffic will be managed with alternating lights over sections of about 100 meters. The lane heading towards Labarthe-Toulouse will be neutralized and separated by barriers. Construction hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Outside these hours, traffic will be restored in both directions. Resident access will be maintained, and no diversion route via Labarthe-sur-Lèze is planned for this initial phase.
Users are advised to allow an extra 10 to 15 minutes during peak hours towards Toulouse and to favor off-peak construction times when possible. Adherence to signage and speed limits is requested, as work is being carried out in close proximity to the road.
Following this first phase, construction will continue near the level crossing with a phase 2 lasting about 2 weeks, followed by a phase 3 of 2 weeks and 2 days, under manual alternating traffic control. A final phase of road surface repair will take place at night over 3 nights, with the road closed. Dates and diversions will be communicated later.
The project schedule may evolve depending on validations from SNCF and discussions with residents. Information will be updated on the town hall's website and its Facebook page.
