The Municipal Majority of Toulouse details its security efforts, emphasizing the reinforcement of the Municipal Police, increased video surveillance cameras, and a reduction in crime on public transport.

Security has been a major priority for the Municipal Majority of Toulouse since 2014. Resources have been significantly enhanced: the Municipal Police now has 390 officers, up from 165 in 2014, and the number of video surveillance cameras has risen from 21 to 750. Over the 2020-2026 term, 42 million euros have been invested in security.
These resources are yielding concrete results. Crime incidents on Toulouse's public transport decreased by 14% between 2016 and 2025. The fight against trafficking is also a priority: since mid-July, the preliminary phase of the anti-drug dealing unit in Saint-Aubin and Arnaud-Bernard has led to 199 interventions, 23 arrests, and 95 infractions recorded.
Action against trafficking and insecurity will be further strengthened. A future unit to combat drug dealing points will be deployed more widely. Video surveillance will continue to expand, aiming for a camera per street and prioritizing school safety, with the goal of video coverage around all primary schools by the end of 2027. Cooperation between security forces and social housing providers will also be enhanced to tackle disturbances in residences.
These commitments are part of the project led by Jean-Luc Moudenc. The plan includes increasing the number of municipal police officers to 500, with positions already voted on. The creation of an armed Tisséo security brigade is underway. The municipality also seeks more National Police and judicial staff, and will implement an SOS button in the Tisséo app, along with emergency call points in busy streets.
Prevention and victim protection are also key priorities. The «Ici, demandez Angela» initiative continues to grow. By the end of 2026, 100% of municipal police officers will have received training on sexist and sexual violence. Child protection within municipal structures is also being enhanced through new training and immediate alert processing.
The Aimer Toulouse Municipal Majority reaffirms its choice to bolster the protection of Toulouse residents, with an armed and better-equipped Municipal Police, and decisive action against trafficking. The objective is to enable every resident to live, work, and travel more peacefully in Toulouse.
