The book box located outside the Vernet town hall was damaged over the summer due to strong winds. Its door was deteriorated, forcing its removal for safety reasons. With the arrival of autumn and winter, it was no longer possible to leave the book box exposed to the elements. The books it contained have therefore been temporarily removed to be preserved.
While awaiting the discovery or creation of a new book box, the books have been placed on a table in the town hall's entrance hall. They remain freely accessible to everyone during the town hall's opening hours.
The municipality is launching an call for ideas to find a solution that is economical, ecological, and sustainable for the new book box. Residents are invited to share their suggestions for recycling, manufacturing, or original ideas to keep this sharing space vibrant.
The town hall hopes that the new version of the book box will be the result of the imagination and participation of the residents, further strengthening its role as a place for sharing and conviviality. All good ideas are welcome to continue fostering the joy of reading and sharing.
