The inauguration of the Memorial Path of the April 10, 1944 parachute drop, located between Séméac and Calavanté, in the heart of the Bois du Rebisclou, marked a significant moment of intergenerational transmission. Families of resistance fighters, members of the Séméac History and Memory Collective, historians, partners, teachers, and younger generations gathered to celebrate this memory.
This 4.2-kilometer route, marked with educational panels and audio capsules, invites visitors to walk in the footsteps of the resistance fighters who, on the night of April 10, 1944, mobilized to receive a parachute drop intended to support their fight against the occupier.
Beyond an episode of local history, this path pays tribute to the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of those who refused to resign themselves to oppression.
