The municipality of Balaruc-le-Vieux is actively seeking retired citizens to join the 'Papi-Mamie Trafic' program. The objective is to contribute to the safety of children entering and leaving the town's schools.
Volunteers will be tasked with providing a reassuring presence near school establishments, facilitating children's crossings and supporting families. This initiative also aims to foster moments of sharing and conviviality within the community.
The program will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with morning hours from 8:15 AM to 8:45 AM and afternoon hours from 4:15 PM to 4:45 PM. Schedules can be adjusted based on candidate availability and operational needs.
To apply, candidates must be residents of Balaruc-le-Vieux, be available on school days, be in good physical condition, and provide a medical certificate. Selected individuals will receive training in traffic prevention and regulation and will be compensated at the current hourly minimum wage (SMIC).
