The most severe restrictions apply to the tributaries of the Orb river, from the confluence with the Jaur river to their mouth. This area is classified as being in a crisis level, necessitating drastic limitations on water withdrawals and usage.
In contrast, the Astien sand aquifer, within its Hérault section, is not subject to these restrictions at this time. Authorities are monitoring the hydrological situation.
