For the second consecutive year, the Municipal Sports Office (OMS) of Jacou organized, on Saturday October 24th, a solidarity walk as part of "Octobre Rose". Nearly a hundred Jacoumardes and Jacoumards gathered for this event dedicated to raising awareness about the prevention and screening of breast cancer.
In a spirit of solidarity and conviviality, families, residents, and members of local associations responded to the call to cover the 5 km route proposed by the OMS volunteers. An accessible route for everyone, allowing each participant to walk at their own pace and share a warm moment around a common cause.
Through this initiative, the volunteers of the OMS of Jacou reaffirm their commitment to using sport for health and collective engagement. The participants' loyalty to this event highlights the importance given to the fight against breast cancer.
As last year, the total amount of funds collected will be announced shortly, and all proceeds will be donated to the Montpellier Cancer Institute (ICM).
