This autumn, Marseillan is seeing several major construction sites simultaneously. These works aim to modernize the town's infrastructure and strengthen its commitment to energy transition.
In Capitaine Bages and Général Marès streets, significant upgrades to the wastewater and drinking water networks are underway. Coordinated by Sète agglopôle méditerranée, the Syndicat du Bas Languedoc, and the town of Marseillan, this project, which will continue until December 2026, aims to sustainably improve infrastructure. Traffic and parking adjustments will be implemented to ensure the smooth progress of work while limiting disruptions for residents.
The Avenue de Florensac is also undergoing rehabilitation to ensure safer road conditions. An initial technical study verified and reinforced the structure beneath the road, specifically the rainwater collector, to withstand traffic stresses, including heavy vehicles. The installation of a reinforced concrete cover is in progress to durably strengthen the structure before the road surface is redone. These works, scheduled for completion by mid-November 2026, will enhance safety and the living environment.
In its energy transition efforts, the town of Marseillan is installing photovoltaic canopies in the parking lots of Marseillan-plage. Following the installation of solar panels on the roof of the Marie-Louis Dumas school, this project, led by the company Marseillan Énergie Verte, marks a key step towards local energy autonomy with an investment of 1,700,000 euros. The work will cover the Parking Méditerranée (tourist office, avenue de la Méditerranée) and the Parking at the entrance to the resort (near the cooperative winery). These works are expected to be completed by end of February 2027.
