The historical copper network, previously used for traditional landline phones and ADSL, will be permanently deactivated in Lalbenque on October 31, 2028. From this date, ADSL and landline services on this network will cease to function.
To continue benefiting from internet and/or landline telephone services, transitioning to fiber optics has become essential. The municipality of Lalbenque is well underway with this change. According to information from ALL Fibre, 100% of homes are eligible for fiber. Already, 951 homes have an optical socket installed, representing 74.3% of the commune. Furthermore, 818 homes have already subscribed to a fiber plan, accounting for 64.21% of households.
Fiber deployment will extend to the vicinity of remaining homes upon request from their owners.
Residents are advised to anticipate these steps now and not wait until the deadline. It is recommended to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to choose a plan that suits your needs, whether it's a standard internet offer or a 'phone-only' fiber option for those who do not use the internet.
