After an exceptional closure, the UPVD campuses at Moulin-à-Vent and Mailly reopened on Friday morning. However, on Monday, October 12th, students blocked entrances to the Moulin-à-Vent campus, preventing some classes. In response, the administration has amended last week's decision, effective from Tuesday, October 13th, to Saturday, October 17th, inclusive.
On days without national demonstrations, campuses will remain open with declared activities maintained: research, teaching, administration, and events. However, if teaching is hindered by blocked entrances, a system will be activated: absences from mandatory pedagogical activities (tutorials and practical work) will not incur administrative or pedagogical sanctions. Lectures, tutorials, and practical work may be offered remotely if the course nature allows, a decision to be made by deans or institute directors. Special attention will be given to students facing digital exclusion (without computers or internet access), who may be accommodated in dedicated rooms and will not face sanctions for absence.
These measures will apply to campuses where activities are demonstrably disrupted by protesters, based on observations by campus and department directors. For the national action days on October 13th and 17th, the Moulin-à-Vent and Mailly campuses will be closed, and the blockade measures will be extended if disruptions persist on other sites.
Safety recommendations remain unchanged. The university urges students to avoid inappropriate interactions with those blocking access and to prioritize peripheral entrances if they are clear. If safe access is impossible, students are advised to return home. The safety of individuals and property is the University's utmost priority.
Students experiencing digital exclusion are encouraged to report to deans or institute directors for potential accommodation in dedicated rooms. Pedagogical continuity, even remotely, must adhere to legal frameworks.
“"The safety of individuals and the security of property are the University's priority."
