The municipality of Bressols, in partnership with SEM Soélia, is developing a ground-based photovoltaic power plant project at the former Négret quarry, near the lake.

The objective is to give a new purpose to this site, already shaped by human activities, by developing local renewable energy production. The project includes an installed capacity of approximately 1 MWc, with an estimated annual production of 1,313 MWh, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 328 Bressols households. The panel surface area will be around 4,366 m², within a fenced area of 9,450 m².
Environmental, landscape, and technical studies have been conducted to adapt the power plant's installation to the site's characteristics, considering natural elements and local constraints. This partnership with SEM Soélia will allow the municipality to guide the project's direction while benefiting from specialized expertise in renewable energy development.
The next steps involve submitting a prior declaration for the project's review by the competent services. The municipality of Bressols will continue to inform residents about the progress of this project, which aims to balance the valorization of municipal land, renewable energy production, and environmental consideration.
