This Tuesday, September 29, 2026, a national strike will affect the schools in Castelsarrasin. Disruptions are expected in several of the town's schools.
Two schools will be completely closed: the Jules Ferry Elementary School and the Courbieu School Group.
In eight other schools, student reception will be provided only during school hours by non-striking teachers. These include the preschools and elementary schools Eugène Redon, Simone Veil, Marceau Faure, Marie Curie, Louis Sicre, as well as the school groups Les Cloutiers and Sabine Sicaud. For these establishments, reception will be from 8:20 AM to 11:30 AM and from 1:20 PM to 4:30 PM. Families are invited to contact teachers to find out the specific class arrangements.
It is specified that no school canteen service or before/after school care will be provided in these eight schools.
Finally, one school will operate normally: the Pierre Perret Preschool, with morning, midday, and evening reception at the usual hours.
