The Tarn Food Bank is organizing its major annual food drive on November 6 and 7, 2026, in over 70 stores across the department, to replenish its food stocks for those in need.

The aim of this operation is to diversify the food items destined for a varied population, including students, modest retirees, families, and job seekers. More than 10,000 people in need are supported by the Food Bank in the Tarn.
The donations collected will be redistributed to eight partner associations in Albi: Épicerie sociale de l’Albigeois, SOS bébés Croix rouge, Épicerie sociale du lycée agricole Albi Fonlabour, Le Colibri, the Maison des femmes, Le panier de Temahh, Secours catholique, and the Centre Communal d’Action Sociale d’Albi.
This year, the drive is particularly seeking ready-made meals (ravioli, cassoulet, couscous), oil, starches and dried vegetables, canned meat and fish, mashed potatoes and soup, and hygiene products, especially in small packaging, as many beneficiaries live alone.
Last year, the collection in the Albi region yielded the equivalent of 35,000 meals for local associations.
The Food Bank is also recruiting over 200 volunteers in Albi for November 6 and 7. Volunteers will staff collection points in stores or assist with sorting donations. Information and registration: 06 81 26 03 56.
An online collection is also available via the website monpaniersolidaire.org, allowing donors to compose their virtual basket.
