A conservation-restoration training site, the result of a partnership between the National Heritage Institute (INP), the Ariège Departmental Council, and Mirepoix town hall, was held in Mirepoix.

Two student restorers specializing in 'sculpture' from the INP studied, after a dusting operation, the altarpiece of the Saint-Roch chapel in the former Saint-Maurice cathedral. This 18th-century work was examined under the pedagogical supervision of a heritage restorer, providing practical application of their knowledge.
Following their study, the students presented their restoration recommendations at the town hall. The ceremony was attended by municipal council members and representatives from the Ariège Departmental Council and the former cathedral.

"A big thank you to the Ariège Departmental Council and the INP for this study and this precious partnership in favor of our heritage!"
