Val de Dagne hosted its first Forum for Economy and Employment on Wednesday, October 14th, featuring 17 stands to connect residents with local professional opportunities.

With the aim of promoting local employment and demonstrating that job opportunities can be found close to home, even in rural areas, Carcassonne Agglo organized the forum 'Building Your Path in Val de Dagne'. This event, following a successful first edition in Minervois in April, took place in Montlaur.
Magali Arnaud, vice-president of Carcassonne Agglo and mayor of Villar-en-Val, highlighted the forum's importance for the residents of Val de Dagne, an area considered distant from Carcassonne. 'Mobility is a major factor for equality in the territory: when you can move, you can find work,' she stated, emphasizing the event's role in supporting job and training searches.
Seventeen stands were set up in the community hall of Montlaur, welcoming job seekers, individuals undergoing career changes, students, and entrepreneurs. Visitors had access to job dating sessions, information booths, and career demonstrations.
Various services from the Agglo were present, including the RTCA, Human Resources, the Early Childhood and Youth Department, and the CIAS. The FabLab and Campus Connecté also showcased their offerings. Other partners, such as Mission Locale Ouest Audois, France Travail, Région Occitanie, CMA Formation, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and ADIE, hosted stands as part of the Employment Network.
