Approximately thirty women, from various workshops at the Max-Savy social center in Grazailles, participated on Monday in a series of activities focused on 'Healthy Cooking'. These events are part of Pink October, the national campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer screening.
In a spirit of solidarity, the participants, dressed in pink, interacted with Karine Bonnery, a counselor in solidarity economy and family. Two simple cake recipes, rich in antioxidants like red beans and red fruits, were prepared, highlighting the importance of a balanced diet.
Concurrently, Sylvie Seguy, head of sociolinguistic workshops, led a creative workshop to make pink hearts. These items will be distributed during the 'Pink March' organized for Tuesday afternoon along the banks of the Aude, bringing together participants from the sociolinguistic workshops and social center users.
These initiatives aim to make Pink October a significant moment for prevention, solidarity, and conviviality, reaffirming Carcassonne Agglo's commitment to public health and prevention.
