The event concluded with a collective cooking session, where participants, alongside Monique Ching, deputy for social cohesion, and Hamel Lahcini, elected official for social affairs, prepared a full meal from starter to dessert.
Under the guidance of chef Anthony Laforge, manager of Le Petio restaurant in Cabestany, attendees enjoyed pumpkin soup, sweet potato curry with red onion pickles and white rice, and banana porridge with chocolate sauce and roasted peanuts, all accompanied by homemade lemonade.
These workshops, supported by Gaël Pech, project manager in Occitanie for the SOS group 'Les Insatiables', emphasized the pleasure of eating well, simplicity, and sharing, demonstrating that quality food can be accessible.
The event was filled with convivial moments, laughter, and exchanges, highlighting the participants' enthusiasm and the speakers' commitment.
