Initially planned for outdoors on Place François-Mitterrand, the 2026 Place de l’Emploi was relocated to the Baraqueville animation hall. This last-minute change, due to strong winds, did not deter job seekers.
Supported by France Travail, the event was a significant success, with over 300 job seekers meeting with present companies and organizations. This turnout highlights the interest generated by the event, aimed at fostering direct exchanges between job seekers, employers, and professional support actors.
Visitors had the opportunity to discover numerous job offers, learn more about in-demand professions, and explore training possibilities. While most employers were from the private sector, several local institutions and structures also responded to the call, including the Baraqueville town hall, Pays Ségali Communauté, and ADMR.
Throughout the afternoon, exchanges flourished at the various stands, allowing visitors to speak directly with recruiters, ask questions, and sometimes discover professions or sectors they hadn't previously considered.
This success is also attributed to the strong involvement of the Espace Emploi Formation, which significantly contributed to the preparation and success of this operation, reaffirming its essential role in animating the territory and bridging the gap between job seekers and companies.
Ultimately, even though the wind forced organizers to change the venue, it did not disrupt the momentum of this Job Fair. With over 300 visitors, numerous mobilized employers, and extensive exchanges, this edition fully achieved its objective: connecting those seeking employment with those who are hiring.
