Last weekend, Baraqueville once again vibrated with the passage of the Aveyronnaise Classic. Nearly 550 competitors participated in this enduro event, offering an impressive spectacle to the numerous spectators present. From the early afternoon, the purr of engines announced the arrival of the riders.
Around 2:30 PM, the first riders launched onto a marked special stage set up near the Lenne lake. Amidst a cloud of dust, the motorcycles followed each other at a steady pace, tackling turns, accelerations, and technical sections under the encouragement of a large crowd. Favorable weather conditions, with terrain sufficiently moistened by previous showers, allowed for good visibility and a quality spectacle.
After the special stage, riders proceeded to the Espace Raymond Lacombe for mechanical checks, before heading to Place René Cassin, transformed into a closed parc. Hundreds of meticulously aligned motorcycles formed an impressive open-air exhibition, allowing enthusiasts to get close to the machines. The square also hosted trial and acrobatics demonstrations.
The town pulsed with the rhythm of the event for nearly two days. Beyond the sporting spectacle, the Aveyronnaise Classic served as a significant driver of attractiveness and economic benefits for Baraqueville and the Ségala region. Visitors, companions, and support teams frequented local shops, restaurants, and accommodations, giving the town considerable visibility.
This new edition has allowed Baraqueville to enhance its national profile, as have the neighboring villages of Quins, Naucelle, and Pradinas, which also hosted special stages. The host town thus benefited from considerable animation thanks to the thousands of people present.
