The LEADER program has selected five projects in Aveyron, focusing on territorial development and revitalization, with a total funding of €237,814.

A programming committee met on Friday, October 9th in the Maison de Ma Région in Millau, chaired by Clément Carles, the new president of the Local Action Group Grands Causses Lévézou (GAL). The meeting brought together private, consular, union representatives, tourism structures, and local authorities.
The LEADER initiative, funded by the European Union and the Occitanie Region, and managed by the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park, aims to support rural territories. During this session, €237,814 were approved for five projects.
Among the approved projects, two focus on resilient territorial development: the energy renovation of the Gymnase des 12 étoiles in Saint-Affrique (€50,000) and the enhancement of public spaces' heritage in Saint-Rome-de-Tarn (€93,000).
Three other projects aim at territorial development: the creation of a sports studies center in Belmont-sur-Rance (€22,300), the Campus Connecté Millau Grands Causses (€20,230), and the tourism development of the Grands Causses Lévézou destination by the Regional Natural Park (€52,283).
Since the start of the LEADER 2023-2027 program, 45 projects have been supported, with a total requested funding of €1,006,500. The GAL Grands Causses Lévézou, managed by the Regional Natural Park, assists project leaders in their application process.
