The municipality of Saint-Orens-de-Gameville is initiating the renewal process for its Youth Municipal Council (CMJ) for the 2027-2029 term, offering middle schoolers an opportunity to engage in local affairs.

Students in 6th, 5th, and 4th grade attending the two middle schools in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville have until December 2026 to submit their applications. Elections are scheduled for January 2027, marking the start of a new term for the Youth Municipal Council (CMJ).
Established in 2022, the CMJ serves as a platform for citizen participation where 17 elected young members dedicate two years to developing and implementing concrete projects for the town. This experience allows participants to learn about institutional operations and democratic principles.
The mandate involves regular meetings, typically twice a month on the first and last Wednesdays from January to June, with additional sessions possible based on project needs. Extracurricular activities are also offered during July and August, with support provided to help young members bring their initiatives to life.
To join the CMJ, interested middle schoolers must register at their respective schools before the December 2026 deadline. Active participation throughout the year is required for this two-year term.
