As part of the strengthened partnership between the Rodez Hospital Center and the CPTS Centre-Aveyron, a heart failure awareness and prevention day was organized on Thursday, September 24th. The event, held in the lobby of the Rodez Hospital Center, also included the participation of the CPAM de l'Aveyron and the Centre de Cardiologie de Rodez.
Throughout the day, visitors could learn about the warning signs of heart failure, discuss prevention and diet with health professionals, particularly regarding salt intake. They also benefited from vital sign measurements and initial screening using the EPOF questionnaire.
Individuals requiring further assessment were referred to a cardiologist. This concrete action aims to bring together city and hospital health professionals to promote early detection and improve patient orientation.
The warning signs of heart failure to know are: Shortness of breath, Weight gain, Edema, Fatigue (EPOF).
