As part of awareness campaigns by the Parc naturel régional des Grands Causses to revive the wool sector, the "Wool Event" exhibition is presented at the Park's premises in Millau. This event highlights the heritage and future of local wool.
Visitors can explore a variety of works and content: portraits by English artist Leanne Brodbent, photographs by the photo club of the MJC of Millau, and podcasts titled "chemin de la laine" (wool path) from radio Larzac.
A special program is scheduled during the week. On Wednesday, October 14th, a Yoga class on the Larzac wool mat is offered from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. For more information and reservations, contact 05 65 61 35 50.
On Thursday, October 15th at 2:30 PM, a conference titled "Eve Histories" (ewe histories) will cover the history of pastoralism and the Roquefort PDO with Delphine ATCHE (Le Saloir), the agro-pastoral sector and glove-making with Olivier FABRE (Maison Fabre), and insights into local wool with Jean-Pierre ROMIGUIER (Filature Colbert).
The exhibition's inauguration will take place on Saturday, October 17th at 10:30 AM. The exhibition is open at the Maison du Parc naturel régional des Grands Causses, located at 71 boulevard de l'Ayrolle, Cardabelle room. Public opening hours are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 3 PM to 5 PM, and Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM.
