The month of October will be dedicated to solidarity in Laissac with the mobilization for Pink October. Numerous local associations, including the Rugby Club, the Basketball Club, the Firefighters' Association, the Sewing Club, the Walking Club, and the Animation Committee, are joining forces with the support of the municipality to offer various events and meetings.
The program spans the entire month and includes several key events. Starting on Friday, October 2nd, a refreshment stand will be available at the Gourmet Market. On Sunday, October 4th, a bingo game will take place at 2:30 PM. Creations by local seamstresses will be sold on Tuesday, October 6th, followed by an information evening on cancer on Thursday, October 8th at 8:30 PM at the PIMS. A hike with cheese soup is organized for Saturday, October 10th starting at 5:30 PM, and a ham weighing event will be held on Tuesday, October 13th.
Further sales of creations by seamstresses are scheduled for Tuesday, October 20th, and a tea dance will liven up Sunday, October 25th. Throughout the month, a tombola will also be held, with tickets sold at €2.
Participation in these events aims to support prevention, screening, and the actions carried out by the League Against Cancer. The municipality calls for broad participation, emphasizing that in Laissac, in October, every gesture counts.
