Commissioned in February 2026, the Saint-Laurent-d'Olt wood heating network, spanning 240 meters, supplies several municipal buildings with heating and domestic hot water.

The wood heating network in Saint-Laurent-d'Olt, operational since February 2026, covers 240 meters and serves the retirement home, the media library, municipal housing, the school, and a third place. This installation aims to promote energy transition within the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park.
Managed by the Mixed Economy Company Causses Energia through a 20-year public service delegation, this project allows the municipality to have an efficient heating system without direct investment. At the end of the contract, the network will be returned to the town hall.
With an investment of €838,000, this network replaces old oil and gas boilers with local energy. It helps avoid nearly 100 tons of CO2 per year, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
