In Nîmes, the Montaigne and Ronsard buildings, constructed in 1963 in the Mas de Mingue neighborhood, have been demolished. This operation is part of the New Urban Renewal Program (NPNRU).

As part of the NPNRU, Habitat du Gard is continuing its rehabilitation, demolition, and reconstruction operations in Nîmes and Bagnols-sur-Cèze. These projects aim to transform territories and improve residents' living environment with new or renovated housing.
The buildings, commissioned in 1963, housed 160 dwellings that no longer met current needs.
This project, carried out by Castelnau démolition, received financial support from Nîmes Métropole and the National Agency for Urban Renewal (ANRU).
The Nîmes Métropole NPNRU, which began in 2021, plans the construction of 1117 social housing units (706 by Habitat du Gard) and the renovation of 831 dwellings (571 by Habitat du Gard).
Urban renovation is a project conducted in partnership with the European Union, the National Agency for Urban Renewal, the Occitanie Region, the Gard Departmental Council, Nîmes Métropole, the City of Nîmes, the Groupe Caisse des Dépôts, and Action Logement.
