The Valescure trail invites you on a journey into the heart of the mysterious dark valley on Wednesday, September 30th, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This thematic route will reveal how the people of the Cévennes mastered water through the ages, as evidenced by the ancient terraces, canals, and structures along the path. It's an immersion into the millennia-old relationship between humans and water, blending nature and history.
On Monday, October 19th, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, a walk will focus on Saint André de Valborgne and its hydraulic heritage. Built along the Gardon de Saint Jean river, the village has always been closely linked to water. The walk will explore its history and the significant role water has played in its landscape, from the 'giant's kettles' in the river to fountains, from the old weavers' paths to hydroelectric developments.
Spaces for these two excursions are limited, and registration is mandatory by calling 06.72.50.12.42. The exact meeting point will be provided upon registration. It is recommended to bring water and walking shoes.
