Continuing the Strategic Importance Operation EsCaT, the Department of Pyrénées-Orientales, as the lead entity, along with the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Girona, have proposed a new phase for their territory to Europe: consolidating the structuring of the Transborder Catalan Space and laying the foundations for stable, integrated, and participatory cooperation. This proposal has been accepted by the INTERREG VI-A Spain – France – Andorra Programme (POCTEFA 2021-2027).
The main actions of this new project include strengthening the structure of the Transborder Catalan Space, consolidating the EsCaT cross-border strategy, and fostering exchanges between populations on both sides of the border. The three partner institutions reiterate their commitment to collaboration and will seek everyone's participation.
The EsCaT_Gov project has a total budget of €687,467.97, co-financed up to €446,854.18 (65%) by the POCTEFA 2021-2027 program. The Department of Pyrénées-Orientales manages a budget of €313,117.98, of which €203,526.69 (65%) comes from POCTEFA.
