SICTOMU is currently updating its fleet of household waste bins throughout the territory. On this occasion, some users may see their bin replaced by a model with a volume better suited to their household size. This evolution is part of the implementation of the allocation grid adopted in the 2023 collection regulations and takes into account the progress made in waste sorting.
The reference allocation is as follows: 1 to 3 people: 80 L bin; 4 to 5 people: 120 L bin; 6 people: 140 L bin; and from 7 people: 180 L bin. Tourist accommodations can benefit, upon request, from a specific allocation adapted to their activity.
Waste characterization campaigns show that a significant portion of the waste in household bins could be directed towards sorting and recovery channels. Interventions carried out by SICTOMU agents are normal operations aimed at improving waste public service management.
