Facing a critical blood reserve situation in Occitanie, the French Blood Establishment (EFS) is launching an appeal for mobilization in Gers. Only ten days of stock remain, requiring the involvement of every donor.

As of October 12, 2026, regional reserves in Occitanie held only 10.4 days of stock, amounting to 5,913 units. This alarming situation calls for a general mobilization to rebuild reserves and meet patient needs.
To contribute to this solidarity effort, several blood drives are being organized in the Gers department throughout October. Citizens are invited to make appointments to donate blood and thus save lives.
The scheduled drives are as follows:
Fleurance: Thursday, October 15, from 3 PM to 7 PM, Salle Éloi-Castaing.
Aignan: Monday, October 19, from 10 AM to 1:30 PM, Salle polyvalente.
Riscle: Tuesday, October 20, from 2 PM to 6 PM, La Halle.
Miradoux: Wednesday, October 21, from 3 PM to 7 PM, Salle des fêtes.
Aubiet: Friday, October 23, from 3 PM to 7 PM, Salle du foyer.
Eauze: Thursday, October 29, from 11:30 AM to 5 PM, Salle du Hall des expositions.
L’Isle-Jourdain: Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30, from 2:30 PM to 7 PM, Salle polyvalente.
Appointments can be made on the website mon-rdv-dondesang.efs.sante.fr or by phone at 0 800 972 100. The conditions for donating blood include being between 18 and 70 years old, weighing at least 50 kg, and being recognized as fit to donate.
This simple and solidary gesture is essential for saving lives. The EFS encourages everyone to get involved.
