In response to the consequences of the 2026 climate events, a collective relief scheme for the 2026 Non-Built Property Tax (TFNB) is being established for agricultural property owners in the Gers department.

Crop loss rates, which determine the relief rates, have been set as follows for the various agricultural plots in the department: for arable land (large crops), the loss is 55%, reaching 75% in hail-affected areas. For vineyards, losses range from 50% in the exceptional drought zone (including the hail zone), to 40% in areas of significant drought, and 15% in the rest of the wine-growing area affected by more moderate drought. Meadows suffer a 50% loss across the department, and 70% in the hailstruck zone. Regarding fruit farming, losses on plums and hazelnuts are 60% in areas limited to communes where these productions are present on at least one hectare.
This collective relief scheme requires no action from the owners. Relief notices will be sent to owners before the payment deadline, exceptionally extended to November 15. In accordance with Article L411-24 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code, relief obtained by the lessor benefits the tenant.
In case of justified financial difficulties preventing the payment of the TFNB before November 15, 2026, payment deferrals may also be granted. Owners can contact the Gers tax service for individuals (SIP) via the secure messaging system in their personal space or by phone at 05 62 61 50 47.
Furthermore, if the actual losses on certain plots exceed the loss rate used for collective relief, individual reasoned and justified requests can be submitted to the departmental land tax service (SDIF) in Auch (05 62 61 51 58), located at 14 rue Leconte de l’Isle.
