Following an isolated incident during which threatening remarks were made against municipal agents, the City of Fenouillet wishes to reiterate its full and complete support for its teams. This event in no way reflects the daily atmosphere within its municipal services, where relations with users are largely based on dialogue, respect, and trust.
However, when boundaries are crossed, the municipality's responsibility is to protect those who ensure public service every day. The City will therefore mobilize, when circumstances require, all available resources, in conjunction with the Municipal Police, the National Gendarmerie, the State services, and the delegate of the Public Prosecutor.
Dialogue will always be prioritized, but threatening behavior cannot be accepted. The City's agents carry out their duties with commitment and professionalism in service of the residents of Fenouillet and must be able to do so in a serene and respectful environment. Protecting our agents also means protecting the quality of our public service.
